Portugal has a wide selection of quality courses with the bulk concentrated around the Algarve on the South Coast and Lisbon.

The Algarve - The Algarve offers over 24 superb courses including the world class San Lozenzo, Vilamoura and Quinta do Lago. It is less commercially developed than the Costa Del Sol, but this is a positive, and offers a fantastic merge between traditional and modern Portugal. Most of the golf is concentrated in the Eastern Algarve between Vilamoura and Faro with Vilamoura having four superb courses next door to Vila Sol and Val do Lobo. However the western Algarve is a now really starting to get recognized and has an increasing number of people visiting. Lisbon - Lisbon is one of the most exciting locations in Europe. The area is split into two regions - the Estoril Coast and the Costa Azul. It offers golf of the highest quality in design and maintenance. There are equally the number of top class courses as in the Algarve like Penha Longa, Estoril, Oitavos, Quinta da Peru and Aroeira 1 & 2 and they are generally cheaper and quieter. The area offers a range of course types including links and good access via Lisbon.
