Courses
Mount Juliet was designed by Jack Nicklaus and opened in 1991, since then the course has established itself as a premier venue for top professional and leisure golfers from around the world, including the likes of Tiger Woods, Ernie Els, Sergio Garcia and Pádraig Harrington. Set in a world of its own, on lush parkland in the south east of Ireland, the course is both captivating and memorable. Tiger Woods' declaration that Mount Juliet presented "perfect fairways... and the best greens we have putted on all year."
Kilkenny Golf Club is one of the most visited courses in the south-east region of Ireland. Close to the town, the course has a long history dating back as far as 1896. Golfers of any ability will find much to test and challenge them, their beautifully manicured greens can be amongst the quickest in the land, no trip to Ireland's Sunny South East would be complete without a round of golf here.
Gowran Park developed this unique 18 hole golf course in 2001, to complement its renowned race meetings. The course meanders in and around 130acres with 5 holes within the racecourse boundary and the remainder in the mature woodland and lake settings that surround it. With the magnificent backdrop of the Blackstairs Mountains this par 71, 18 hole golf course provides an excellent test for the low handicap golfer whilst also being very enjoyable for the middle to high handicappers. Castlecomer is set in 200 acres of woodland with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The par 72 course is widely acclaimed as a superb test of golf. From the memorable drive through the canyon on the 8th to the peaceful sounds of the river flowing by the 14th, this is sure to live long in the memory.
